Skoda’s Fabia line is about to be extended with the introduction of the Monte Carlo, a new model with enhanced sports styling and bespoke interior. Launched to celebrate 100 years of the Monte Carlo Rally, and commemorate the 110 year anniversary of the brand’s motorsport efforts, this special edition model is a nod towards Skoda’s sporting pedigree. From the outside, the Fabia Monte Carlo boasts a dynamic look, underlined by the introduction of piano-black body trim, which extend over the wheel arches and down the full length of the car, a   black roof, black door mirror covers, a black radiator grille top, smoked headlamps and black 17” lightweight Trinity alloy wheels.

The fantastic new Fabia vRS will be officially launched in the UK on Thursday 29 July 2010, and prices and specification have been confirmed. The new vRS is the fastest production Fabia ever built, and builds on its predecessor’s reputation for high performance, low running costs and remarkable value for money. Available as a hatch and estate, the vRS is powered by the fantastic 1.4 TSI 180bhp engine in tandem with a 7-speed DSG transmission, with ESP, HHC (Hill Hold Control) and XDS (Electronic Differential System). Acceleration from 0-62mph takes just 7.3 secs, with a top speed of 139mph (140mph for the estate).

The multi-award winning Skoda Superb range is now even more desirable thanks to the addition of the new 2.0 TDI CR 140bhp DPF. By incorporating the very latest Common Rail diesel technology, this new model is even more fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly than the 2.0 TDI PD 140bhp it replaces. Combined fuel consumption has improved by 4.4mpg and is now an outstanding 52.3mpg, while CO2 emissions have been reduced by 12g/km to just 143g/km. The first Skoda Superb Estate rolled off the production line today (Monday 9th November 2009) in Kvasiny, Czech Republic – an Elegance 2.0 TDI CR 170bhp DSG DPF in Satin Grey. The most luxurious estate car yet to wear the Skoda badge offers a class-leading load volume of up to 1,865 litres (633 litres with the rear seats up).  A choice of three petrol and three diesel engines will be available in the Superb Estate, plus manual and DSG transmissions – the same engine range as is available in the Superb hatch (launched September 2008).

Skoda Auto has released the first official images of the facelifted Octavia vRS and Octavia Scout. Following the launch of the new Octavia late last year, the vRS and Scout have been updated to bring them into line with the current range and family face of Skoda. The sporty Octavia vRS has proved extremely popular since it was launched in 2000. More than 60,000 have been sold, 70 per cent of which were the estate version.

Skoda has unveiled the first official photographs of the Fabia Scout.  The new addition to the Scout family will make its world debut at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.
