The SEAT Ibiza Vaillante is a comic-book hero fantasy come true. It was created by the SEAT Design Centre in Martorell, whose aim was to suggest the driver of a fictional car could be transported to a make-believe world and participate in the most unexpected adventures. For this reason, SEAT does not plan to manufacture a production model Vaillante, or to sell one in the future. Quite simply, it is a virtual car inspired by comic-strip fantasy for this motor show only, whose mission is to highlight SEAT’s sporty and young image, while also enhancing the launch of the new Ibiza 2006 range.

Already available in SEAT’s commercial network, the 2006 range of the SEAT Córdoba boasts numerous improvements, particularly in the interior with its more stylish and more modern trim lines. The exterior of the car also incorporates a number of new features that associate it more closely with the image portrayed by the latest models from SEAT, which highlights including double headlights across the range, new 15-inch wheels and the name “Córdoba” positioned at the centre of the tailgate.

The standard specification for the SEAT Toledo range has undergone a major upgrade. The list of standard equipment for the Toledo Reference and Sport models has been extended to include ESP plus EBA (Emergency Brake Assistance), climate control, power windows in the rear, electrically adjustable door mirrors with parking position, steering-wheel audio controls and front fog lights. Meanwhile, the Sport-up and Stylance versions have added bi-xenon headlamps, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, an audio system with MP3-compatible CD player, as well as a parking sensor, a sensor for automatically switching on the headlamps and a rain sensor.

The most successful and best-known SEAT model, the Ibiza, has undergone a profound transformation, both in terms of its exterior styling and its interior design. Although it is not a new generation, it can be considered a new Ibiza since the restyling of its body emphasises its sporty and dynamic characteristics even further. At the same time, its appearance is now more consistent with the rest of the new SEAT range, as it features elements from the Altea, Toledo and León. The new SEAT Ibiza also features major improvements in terms of the look of its interior, which now uses even higher-quality materials. One example is the new trim finish and colours on the dashboard and the door panels. The applies to the upholstery, which is even more up to date and attractive in appearance.

The 38th Essen Motor Show will mark the world debut of the SEAT Altea FR. Derived directly from the prototype shown at September’s Frankfurt Motor Show, this latest model is the first in the new generation of SEAT cars to wear the famous letters FR (Fórmula Racing). By doing so, it taps into the rich FR heritage which has proved to be such a success in the Ibiza and the first generation León. This new, sportier version arrives only 20 months since the SEAT Altea was first unveiled, and in order to earn the FR stamp it features a long list of modifications to its styling, mechanics and dynamics.

The most powerful and sportiest version of the new León is here. This version contains the new 2.0 TFSI engine developing 185 hp (136 kW), positioning it at the top of the León range. Like the rest of the León range, this new model has a body that neatly blends the sporty image of a stunning coupé with five-door practicality. Out of all of the new generation models from SEAT, it is the new León which comes closest to expressing the very ultimate in sportiness and innovative design, thereby reinforcing SEAT’s own intrinsic values within the Audi brand group.

SEAT has enhanced further the sporting image of the Altea presenting the prototype of the future FR version at the Frankfurt Motor Show. This vehicle is the first FR in the new generation of products from the Spanish brand, with the series version reaching the market in early 2006. The FR models respond perfectly to demand from SEAT customers who continue to state their preference for cars with an even sportier character.

SEAT will hold the world premiere of the prototype of the future Altea FR at the forthcoming Frankfurt International Motor Show, to be held from 15 to 25 September (press days 12th, 13th and 14th). This car gives a preview of the series version which will reach the market in the early 2006 and inaugurates the new generation of the Spanish brand’s FR range. This month, SEAT also starts the launch of the new León in the main European markets.

The new León is here. The arrival of the second generation León sees SEAT launch the third model in its all-new product line-up following on from the Altea and Toledo. The characteristic traits of the brand’s new model image are plain to see in both the Altea and Toledo and now the new Leon. The SEAT Salsa concept car unveiled in 2000 has been the inspiration for the Spanish manufacturer in terms of styling ever since, turning it into automotive reality. The launch of the new León renews the second of the mainstays of the new SEAT image, as the León and Altea have been christened by SEAT President, Dr. Andreas Schleef. It has resulted in an elegantly styled body that neatly blends the sporty image of a stunning coupé with five-door practicality.
