The sixth generation Passat is celebrating its official public premiere at the 75th International Motor Show in Geneva. The Golf Plus and the Race Touareg are other highlights on the stand in hall 2. The new Passat is the highlight of the Volkswagen stand in Geneva. The sixth Passat is characterised by a powerful and avant-garde design. The new VW front section with its chrome shield-shaped radiator grille, the confident-looking headlights, the athletic silhouette and the powerful rear section represent the biggest design change since the series was created. New engines, a new running gear and numerous technical innovations are distinguishing features of the new Passat, which will be launched in mid-March.
The Golf Plus, which was successfully launched just 14 days ago is making its first motor show appearance at the Geneva show.
Another highlight on the Volkswagen stand is the Race Touareg in which the German-Italian duo Jutta Kleinschmidt / Fabrizia Pons won third place in this year’s Dakar rally. It was the first time that a diesel vehicle won a place on the podium in the toughest desert rally in the world.
Volkswagen is also presenting the whole current product range over 2 762 square metres in hall 2: from the Golf GTI to the Touran, the Phaeton to the Touareg W12 Sport together with some versions from Volkswagen Individual. Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is showing a luxury version of the Multivan and the Caddy Life.
