SEAT will show concept to car Salsa with a renewed outer and inner style in the next Hall the Automobile of Madrid, that will be celebrated of the 24 of May to the 2 of June. First which it emphasizes of the SEAT Salsa it is the new color of the body. The shining silver has opened the way to the red pie, a color that has been obtained through the superposition of up to seven red resin layers transparency. In addition, this painting work has managed to create an effect of visual depth and chromatic saturation.
A sport and dynamic cockpit
At the time of acting in the interior of the Salsa, the objective of the department of Design of SEAT, directed by Walter déSilva, has been to create a younger, sport and dynamic cockpit. And all it without altering the style of the original project, that is, the one of the Salsa presented/displayed by SEAT year 2000.
In the interior of new the Salsa the aluminum elements and the colors predominate red and black. The floor of the cockpit is made with washable material of smooth metallic effect, like the inner panels of the doors that show engravings evolved with respect to the original Salsa and which they grant an amused aspect more and dynamic to the interior.
The board presents/displays several changes. The housing of the zone of instrumentation is of red, original and exclusive color, and contributes a aterciopelada appearance similar to the one of the rose petals. Another detail of the Salsa is the new decorative aluminum elements kills, like the internal hoop of the circumference of the steering wheel.
In the portaobjetos zones, like the superior and inferior guantera and the trays of the lateral ones of the doors, an effect of transparency by the superposition has been generated on a translucent material of a black mesh.
New colors and new textures
The comfortable and surrounding seats of the SEAT Salsa, conformed in 2+2 seats, present/display a red upholstery of redecilla on a black weave bottom. Another newness of the seats is centered in the endorsement. The later part of this piece, that before era of orange color, now is of the same material that the floor of the cockpit, that is, of metallic effect.
The front seats are multiadjustable and the buttocks can be hidden lowering the endorsement, which besides considerably to increase the capacity of the maletero, allows to have a zone of totally flat load. Salsa, the SEAT of the new millenium

According to the selected option, it changes the configuration of the conduction position (height of seat, ergonomics), the system of speed change used (automatic or Tiptronic) and the amount and the type of information facilitated to the conductor.
Thus, in the most dynamic way (Sport), the conductor can count on a conventional control panel, with clocks of sport design and basic information; if it decides on a calm conduction (Comfort), the information is more functional, hiding the reference instruments; in urban use (City), priority to the information of the traffic occurs and to the positioning system. Really, the SEAT Salsa is three cars in one: sport advancing, a calm traveller and an agile urban vehicle.
In the mechanical section, the Salsa is equipped with a V6 motor with 2,791 cc with 250 CV (184 kW), 4 total and intelligent traction and Tiptronic change of 5 speeds. With this propellent, the Salsa reaches 100 a terminal velocity of 245 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7,5 seconds.
